Jean Houston Shore Addresses Society of Human Resource Management – Atlanta Chapter

Influence-Savvy for HR Speech Earns Strategic Credits*, Rave Reviews

Atlanta, June 21, 2011: WorkStrong Consulting Managing Member Jean Houston Shore, CPA, MBA, CSP, SPHR this evening addressed an audience of Human Resource professionals, capping off a day of Strategic Focus for Atlanta’s premier Human Resource Association. Held at the Marriott Century Center, Ms. Shore’s speech followed an hour of networking and a buffet dinner.

Shore was chosen to speak for the gathering because she has been a highly rated speaker at other SHRM events and because her program, Influence-Savvy for HR was timely. Without skillfully winning the support of key individuals in the organization, HR professionals face an uphill climb as they strive to achieve business goals. This program discussed how HR leaders could become more influential as well as how they might learn to better use the influence they already have in order to move their organizations forward. Explaining three key influence powers, Shore presented insights about how influence works within organizations and how HR professionals can be more successful by employing their influence skillfully.
